Pricing

Arcade is an affordable static screenshot demo tool. They offer a free plan for up to 3 demos, then prices ramp up from $32/month/user.

HowdyGo starts at $39/month for unlimited users and full HTML interactive demo functionality. You can sign up and test the full capabilities of the platform for free. You can see detailed pricing information here.

Interactivity

Arcade only offers static screenshot demos. This means their demos are essentially a slideshow of static screenshots viewers click through.

HowdyGo demos are full HTML interactive demos. This means that your interactive demo is a full HTML/CSS clone of your application that will look, behave and feel just like your actual app.

If your platform makes use of interactions or animations (eg: drop down menus, drag & drop, multiplayer editing, or even confetti 🎉), HowdyGo will automatically record them and replay those interactions in HTML, while Arcade will play them as a video.

Recording process

To record a demo, both Arcade and HowdyGo offer a Chrome extension that records a flow as you click through your app. They remember where you clicked to get to which screen and will automatically build you a flow you can start editing.

Editing

Hotspots and tooltips

Both Arcade and HowdyGo allow you to use a variety of callouts and modals to draw attention to features and progress a viewer through a demo. Both are easily customisable in the editor.

Brand colors and fonts

HowdyGo allows you to use your brand's colors and fonts in your demos, Arcade only lets you set your brand's colors.

Demo checklist

HowdyGo provides the ability to split a longer demo into multiple sections which are checked off as a viewer completes them. Viewers have the ability to skip to each section and complete them in their order of preference.

Arcade demos don't offer a way for viewers to jump between significant sections of a longer demo.

Edit HTML content and images in the recording

As Arcade demos are static screenshots, once you've recorded a screen, you aren't able to edit it.

As HowdyGo demos are full HTML/CSS replicas of your website, after you record a demo you are able to edit any HTML text or image inside your recordings.

Personalize demo with prospect info

Again, the static screenshot demos provided by Arcade mean you can't edit any content after recording.

With HowdyGo you can personalize any HTML text or image in the recording with a prospect's information and logo. Personalization is done automatically when a demo is shared by passing parameters through the url.

Analytics

Lead capture

It's easy to add lead capture forms inside a demo with HowdyGo. Simply choose at which stage of the demo you want to insert your lead capture form and drag and drop the fields you want to collect. Leads will be passed through to any integrations you have set up.

Arcade doesn't provide lead capture functionality.

Track viewer engagement

Both Arcade and HowdyGo provide detailed analytics that show you how viewers engage with your demos.

Integrations

HowdyGo provides extensive no-code integration options with CRMs, analytics and marketing tools. Arcade requires your development team to write custom code for the same integrations so that you can visualise demo data in the tool of your choice.

As part of the HowdyGo enterprise plan, you can further request no-code custom integrations with any tools you may be using and are not yet supported. Generally this takes under a week to get up and running.

Support

Both Arcade and HowdyGo provide fast support via in-app chat. With HowdyGo, you also get access to a shared Slack channel where our team is instantly available to help you maximise the value you get from the platform.
